We have a lean organization. We have not lopsided our group with a burdonesome structure, but we have leaders and meetings in place that keep our group active and growing.
Planning Meetings
Every month we hold a planning meeting to sketch out the upcoming months events and handle other business. We meet at a restaurant. We check in with each other. We recruit playgroup hosts. We consider opportunities for publicity. We discuss issues that arise as our group develops.
History
We had our first organizational meeting on May 18, 2007. Eleven folks gathered at Plymouth Congregational Church in Des Moines to form the beginning of our At-Home Dad's group. We got to introduce ourselves to one another, consider what kind of activities we would like to create and what kind of structure we would like to have. Since then, we have continued to develop as an active and growing group.
